In these unprecedented times a great many people are looking to acquire new skills or a new qualification.
The internet is awash with so-called course providers. They offer cheap and cheerful courses in just about anything you can think of, including writing.
While some of those courses may provide a very basic grounding, most are simply an accumulation of videos or words. In other words, they offer very little in the way of actual tuition.
Importantly, they’re also courses from providers who are not accredited to recognised schools or colleges. They are therefore unable, despite what they say, to offer a real qualification.
Creating Writers is different. Our approach is simply to be the online equivalent of a bricks-and-mortar college. We have real tutors giving one-to-one tuition.
On our courses, you are expected to study, submit written material and be judged on it. In exactly the same way you would at a physical college.
Making learning seamless, our tutors are always on hand, both in formal weekly sessions and informally when you need advice.
Our courses are therefore interactive and, yes, challenging. If you take our creative writing Diploma course, you’ll earn a real qualification.
You might be tempted to sign up for a cheap-and-cheerful course. But the old adage applies – if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
It might while away a few hours, but it won’t do you or your writing or professional career much good. The new normal will simply be your old normal.
But if you’re serious about wanting to acquire new writing skills and a real qualification, why not have a look at what we offer?
We also don’t have a set timetable, so you can learn at your own pace. We fully understand that you may have other commitments.
The only thing missing from our courses is the hassle of getting to and from our online college.
Creating Writers has two online creative writing courses, an introductory course and our flagship Diploma course.
It’s an intensive course, with lots of face-to-face tuition. It also comes with a real qualification at the end of it.
That could not only kick-start your writing career but provide you with a valuable qualification for your resume.
Our courses are intended to give you the confidence and skills to understand what makes great writing. On the Diploma course, we’ll also get you started on your novel.
