We offer introductory courses in creative writing, and writing for the media. Our flagship is our Diploma course in creative writing. Our aim is to help to – in your career, or in your creative journey.
Because many of us want to write a novel. Usually, all that’s holding us back is confidence and an understanding of the elements that go together to make a novel.
Our Diploma course in creative writing provides the perfect learning experience for anyone who is serious about starting to write a book. You may simply lack the skills or confidence to put pen to paper.
Creating Writers is run by novelist Charlie Laidlaw who is passionate about reading, writing and helping others learn the dark arts of writing skilfully.

What makes our practical courses different is that you’ll end up with a Certificate or Diploma at the end of it. That could also help with your career.
Unlike most online courses which are often just an accumulation of videos or written material, our tutors are always on hand. Always available to give practical advice and help.
Students are therefore never alone. You’ll be supported every step of the way, receiving constant tuition.
For our Diploma course, the qualification you’ll receive on successful completion is accredited and equivalent to a Higher National Diploma (HND) Level 5, Diploma of Higher Education, and EQF (European Qualifications Framework) Level 6.
The Creating Writers approach is to give all the advantages of a bricks-and-mortar college, with real tutors and one-to-one tuition.
